Thought For Days

Riches
The greatest good we can do for others is not to share our riches with them, but to reveal to them their own.

Harmony
Love dissolves hate. Kindness melts cruelty. Compassion calms passion. Cooperation evokes love and when we bow, others bend. This creates harmony.

Less
A rich person is not someone who has more, but someone who desires less.

Your Own Truth
To follow someone else's truth is a trap. The best strategy is to know your own truth, face it and live by it. Others may inspire, guide, give you directions, but ultimately you have to cut your own way through the jungle. You could always be asking others where North is, and they will tell you. Someone will say North is this way and someone else that North is that other way - and both would have been sincere. But you alone has to find your true North.

A Long And Healthy Life
There are three ingredients for a long and healthy life: live with attention but without worry, use time in a worthwhile way, keep your thoughts pure, positive and filled with strength.

No Task Too Difficult
If you do everything with the feeling of happiness, there will be no task too difficult to perform.

See Only Virtues and Specialities
An ant is tiny beside an elephant but as soon as an ant enters the ear of an elephant it goes crazy. The elephant’s ears are so big, the elephant itself is so big and yet a tiny ant makes it go wild. In the same way, if I allow the slightest defamation of anyone go through my ears, I lose all my spirituality. I lose all my value because I start interacting with others on the basis of what I have heard about them. Pay attention to this! We have to be very, very selective in what we allow to enter our ears. Let me learn to see only virtues and specialities. Let me not concentrate on anyone’s weaknesses.

Thought For Days

Coincidence?
Nothing is just coincidence; every tree in life's garden bears significance.

Determination
Determination is the strength that will enable you to pass the barrier of useless thoughts in order to create positive thoughts and to be successful in whatever you wish. It comes from within and its partner is patience. Patience teaches you not to push but rather to wait and appreciate the game of life instead, knowing that nothing remains the same, and everything will change at some point.

Finest Qualities
Let my eyes be a mirror for others, reflecting only the best and finest qualities.

Age Gracefully
There is nothing more inevitable than the greying of hair and the crinkling of skin. Resisting it is like trying to hold back the tide of the ocean. Accepting it is the way into a graceful life and the possibility of true Leisure! Our lives are mostly without leisure as we succumb to the marketing men and their determination to convince us that the tide can be beaten back, at the very least, kept at bay. As a consequence we count the greys and measure the length and depth of the wrinkles. We spend our time and attention on the surface of our forms, and create the habits of anxiety and worry as they inevitably deteriorate. But when we truly know ourselves as spirit within the form, all those subtle tensions are dissolved. We never age, never grow old, never die - only our bodies do. Knowing ourselves as we truly are is the doorway to freedom and to the graceful acceptance that we are destined to inhabit and play many roles in many bodies. Is that not both a liberating and a relaxing insight? If you play with it, explore it for truth, meditate on it, seriously give it 'house room' in your head, you may actually experience yourself as a free spirit. And when you do you will know true relaxation.

Appreciate The Gift
When your open your eyes in the morning, sit for a moment and appreciate the gift of a new day, create a peaceful thought and enjoy some moments of silence throughout the whole day.

Thought For Days

Lighten Up
When someone lightens up your life just by their presence, you can be sure they are emitting a very positive energy. When someone puts a damper on the meeting or a conversation, you can be sure there is some hidden inner baggage which contains sorrow and darkness. Which do you bring to the party? A little light or a little dark? A lot of optimism or a little pessimism? In olden days, before one switch could illuminate a whole city, one candle had to be lit by another. So if you are aware that you are carrying a little darkness, perhaps it may be useful to spend time with someone whose inner light is already lit, and stays lit in all circumstances. Eventually we may learn the art ourselves, and then serve as a candle to others.

Bright World
Remove the darkness of the mind and the world will be illuminated.

Wellbeing
The more I develop the habit of noticing goodness, the more my own sense of wellbeing rises.

Intuitive Intellect
Intuition is the discerning of a refined intellect. We all have the capacity for intuition, but we find it hard to cultivate and exercise this capacity as we are mostly encouraged to keep our awareness focused on the surface events and activities of life around us. Intuition is that voice of innate wisdom which can speak to us at any moment. It is the core of our self, of our consciousness, a touchstone which is always true and trustworthy, as long as the voice is not distracted or disturbed by the many voices of our ego, or others egos, which we allow to reside like ghosts within our consciousness. Learning to listen to and trust our intuition means we must be able to recognise these voices and ruthlessly ignore their deviations and temptations. This is why we need to spend some time each day in some form of contemplative process - call it meditation, reflection or just listening to the self. When we give time to restoring our inner peace and quiet, we will learn to discern the voice of our intuition from the cleverness of our ego. When meditation becomes a regular exercise we rebuild that trust in ourselves to be able to ignore the machinations of ego, and follow the wisdom of our inner tutor. Gradually there comes a time when we never do not know what to do, when every event reveals something deeply significant to our awareness, and we can sense the deeper needs of those around us. These are the inner subtle skills of intuition and the sign of our intuitive intellect at work.

Truth
The power of Truth is such that you need never be concerned about proving it. You need only be concerned with being it and living it. Truth is always revealed, at the right moment, at the right place.

Happiness
There is no nourishment like happiness - it's an elixir. There is no sickness like sorrow - it's a poison. The experience of true happiness cures the sickness of sorrow. A cheerful face goes a long way towards making everything better!

Yes 'X' Can!!!

Exam really coming soon. It only left almost two more weeks for me to prepare for my ACCA exams.

Last Friday was the election day for US president. I still remember on the three words that Barrack Obama, the new US president, always used during his speech in the election campaign.

YES WE CAN!!!

Now, I'm using these three words to encourage me..

YES I CAN!!!

So the others who are having your exam soon. I give these three words to you.

YES YOU CAN!!!

I like the Obama song by Will-I-Am.. Below is the lyric..

It was a creed written into the founding documents that declared the destiny of a nation.
Yes we can.

It was whispered by slaves and abolitionists as they blazed a trail toward freedom.
Yes we can.

It was sung by immigrants as they struck out from distant shores and pioneers who pushed westward against an unforgiving wilderness.
Yes we can.

It was the call of workers who organized; women who reached for the ballots; a President who chose the moon as our new frontier; and a King who took us to the mountaintop and pointed the way to the Promised Land.

Yes we can to justice and equality.
Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity.
Yes we can heal this nation.
Yes we can repair this world.
Yes we can.

We know the battle ahead will be long, but always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change. (We want change.)

We have been told we cannot do this by a chorus of cynics…they will only grow louder and more dissonant ……….. We’ve been asked to pause for a reality check. We’ve been warned against offering the people of this nation false hope.

But in the unlikely story that is America, there has never been anything false about hope.
Now the hopes of the little girl who goes to a crumbling school in Dillon are the same as the dreams of the boy who learns on the streets of LA; we will remember that there is something happening in America; that we are not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people; we are one nation; and together, we will begin the next great chapter in the American story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea: Yes We Can.

If you wanna have see the video of this song, you can go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjXyqcx-mYY

Hoping that these three words really can encourage me to study and pass my exams. Good luck!!

BATH, UK

I like Bath. There are many historical buildings to see. Some buildings amazed me as I can't imagine how the ancient people built the buildings with the technology they have at the time of building them up. Hard to imagine.

Especially these three photos below. The buildings are half round. It really amazed me.

Before looking at this very clearly, at first sight, I thought is a statue. But, it's a real man. Swt~

The following photos were taken in the Roman Bath..

These were taken when I walked round the city.

Look these two photos carefully. You can see three design of the roof top of the building.

I had taken many pictures in Bath. But, I would like to show you all the pictures that I like.

Hope you all enjoyed reading my posts on my trip when I was in UK. Enjoy it~

BELGIUM

This was taken in Paris before we went to the ferry to go back to UK. We took this in front of the bus.

AMSTERDAM

This is the second last place that I went for my Europe trip. I didn't take any pictures in Amsterdam as I was sick and rather stayed at hostel. These pictures were taken by my friends.

This area is where there are many sex shops. I saw many girls post behind the windows and let the walkers to see. It's like window shopping. Fat, thin, young or old. There are many types that let people choose.

This is our trip driver, Wozza.

I met some of my friends who also joined the Topdeck trip.
